Welcome to the Land of Smiles. We’re in vibrant and crazy Bangkok right now where the people are friendly, the streets are buzzing and the food is tasty and cheap. Can’t complain about that! We’ve spent a lot of time over the past couple days pouring over other cyclists’ websites planning our route in Southeast Asia. There are some awesome references out there with maps, route descriptions, anything you need. We have to say, it’s been making us feel a little guilty about our blog which is all stories, pretty pictures and flashing lights. All razzle dazzle but no substance!
We hope to add more detailed route information (maps and the like) when we get back home….Ughh, wave of panic just came over me as I typed “when we get back home”. Not ready…NOT READY!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh….
….Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!
Anyhow, in a few days, we’ll be heading north…unless of course we change our minds and go east.
P.S. Sorry about uploading 2 pages of posts all at once. We added more photos to the back of the Tunisia album and added another France album. Enjoy the photos.

So I Was showing Mia some of the pics.
‘Oh my Gosh’ , ‘oh my GOSH’ she kept saying.
Then she said ‘ Are Mary and Spiro going to come to our house too?’ I said Maybe. She asked ‘will they stay for like a whole day and sleep over so we can ask them about the pictures.
‘I said maybe Mia.. Maybe’

Maria, your posts are the most entertaining reading I had in a while. They’re full of humour, interesting info and adventure. And your personality transpires through them. I can hear you laughing in the back of my mind as I read through them. Keep surprising and delighting us with the way you see and write about the world. And I’ll say it again: write a book. Combine your talents and artistic creativity and make that project happen: your writing and Spiros’s pictures. I’m serious.
As much as I miss you I’d rather have you travelling around happy and sharing your adventures with us in this wonderful way.

Thanks Diana, you’re very kind. Right back at you BTW, your stories and photos are incredible!!! Much, much nicer then most of the stuff that gets published. We’ve been following along when we can, but don’t have access to blogspot right now
(its blocked here). We’re looking forward to seeing all your photos from the Middle East.
