From Ventimiglia we crossed the border into France. Spiros is a very happy boy right now. 
France is his favourite country to cycle in. I can’t say I blame him, it’s grand, a cyclist’s dream. We cycled along the Riviera stopping for the occasional photo and the mandatory pain au chocolat and cafe creme. We’re cycling in familiar territory. Sigh, France feels like home.
We’ve been in Nice for a couple of days now. We’re happy, despite the fact that Spiros’ favourite boulangerie seems to have become a franchise. Gone are the porcelain cups and smalls glass jars of jam. Now it’s paper cups and packets of jam. Just seems wrong.
We’re off again, now making our way to Avignon. We should be there in a few days.
