Cycling The Road Less Travelled

Thank you all for your kind, encouraging emails and comments since our last two blogs. A big thank you as well to the fellow riders and staff members that went out of their way to lift his spirits and help us out. I am very happy to report that Spiros is feeling much better now and has even resumed cycling. He promised to take it easy and ease back into it. True to his word, he has only cycled 760 km of the 825 km over the past 5 days. One day we are contemplating flying to Johannesburg, a week later he is cycling 207 km days. We tried tying him down onto the truck but that didn’t work, he gnawed his way through the rope in seconds flat. What can I say…he is a mad man…a very determined, strong willed, madman. There is a lot to be said about sheer will.
